Not true...Private tutors are less expensive then private school. Check out the Ivy Room. For $150 hour you can have your child tutored in any subject. Currently I pay approx $3000/month for math and LA.
The city has something they are hiding. They were in charge of that money all these years and there was never a problem before. Why was there only one warning given to the Finance department at a time when there was a change of leadership on the third floor? The budget was going into the red to the tune of millions in the city and no one thought to warn the finance department while it was happening? It didn't happen overnight. Hamilton and the mayor have some explaining to do, in my opinion.
I can't imagine an area that won't feel the blow of this deficit. Schools and Central Office, look to your co-workers. Some of them won't be around next school year...This is a disaster.
Anonymous 4:51 - I think you have hit the nail on the head! Hamilton can't be trusted. He's no better than all the others, but has the ear of the City government folks that want nothing more then to take over control of the schools. There is nothing good going on in Norwalk anymore. It is very sad. The egos on the second floor at City Hall are out of control.
Private school or move out of town.

DeleteWonder why Hamilton says "stop the finger pointing"? Is he afraid that it might wind up pointing at him and the mayor????
