If the NEF won't reveal how they spend money allocated to them for the school's system, then it is time to ask the person who manages GE Capital funds. I'll give the Board of Education first crack to investigate. It will go public if funds were spent in a manner that is questionable. Are there any other funds that were mismanaged? Mike Lyons?
With a few questions in the right places, I found out that the person in charge at GE Capital is Sandra Bria. She is the one to ask. BOE, have you investigated yet?
You've been invited by the NEF. Come out from behind your anonymous keyboard, go to an NEF meeting, and ask the question. They aren't going to engage this way.
The NEF has funding that was earmarked for the Norwalk Public Schools and refuses to account for it in any public forum? That's just wrong! I don't care where it is published. Choose The Hour. Choose NON. Why so secretive? I can't get to an NEF meeting and neither can many people. It really is beginning to sound like an official investigation should take place. If the Board of Education won't do it, it begs the question if they are complicit as well. I call for an official investigation.
I heard that a list of funds was requested from the Board of Education. Coincidently the funds from G.E. Capital was left off the list. Mike Lyons, do you know how those funds were spent? I N T E R E S T I N G!
I have asked NON to report on foundation grants and how they ae spent. For now, it appears that I am being ignored. Mike Lyons won't answer, NEF won't answer in public and now an online media ignores the request? Is there a conspiracy to hide how foundation money is spent in the public schools? Shouldn't the public have a right to know? I agree with others here. I would like to see a public accounting of the GE Capital funds given to NPS. (Marj)

ReplyDeleteYou just keep slinging mud, and hoping some will stick.
ReplyDeleteOr maybe..probably......there is truth in what has been said?
ReplyDeleteIf it is not true, why not deny it? Simple solution! I don't see any denials.
