Best of the Best

We can't give out bonuses to staff members who deserve it, but we can award them the first annual 'Norwalk Speaks - Best staff Awards.' Let's hear it for staff members in the Norwalk Public Schools who deserve to be recognized. Tell us who you want to honor and why. The definition of staff includes anyone working for the Norwalk Public School System. Bravo, in advance, for those outstanding people who deserve this recognition.

  1. I'm a Naramake parent and I have to give a great big shout-out to the staff at Naramake's after school program. They all really go over and above to help each child feel special and are very easy for working parents whose schedules are always changing.

  2. Over the years my child has had great teachers at Brookside- they all deserve special praise. But, if there was one teacher who helped my little guy realize that school was a fun place it was Mrs. Peterson in pre-school. What a hardworking, but gentle, teacher!
Bravo to Norwalk for having this preschool program.

  3. I don't see how there can be a better guidance counsellor than Dan Sullivan at Revere High. He knows how to motivate with a healthy dose of reality without scare tactics. Thank you, Mr. Sullivan.

  5. The best of the best to me are those schools that are doing all they can to increase parent involvement and school achievement. I hear wonderful things about Roton, Jefferson, Nathan Hale and Kendall. My kid does not and never attend any of these schools, but there is always good things said about them. So KUDOS to them. I'm sure there are others but I'm only recognizing the schools the I hear the most of. We should also acknowledge the work performed by many PTO's in the school system. I see a lot of effort and partnership with these PTO's and schools - I just wished that other schools did the same.

  6. Are there really so few compliments to be given to teachers and administrators? What a sad commentary on the way things are in Norwalk.
