A Few Items of Interest
A few items of interest about which you can ponder..........
(1) Where is the Board of Education getting the money to raise the new superintendent's salary range (up to) $250,000 when it was budgeted at $230,000? Will the additional money be taken from the classroom budgets?
(2)At Tuesday night's Board of Education's meeting, there was an additional expenditure for legal fees of $45,000. It appears that Haynie dragged out negotiations. Why didn't she alert the Board about what she was doing? Why are the Apples not upset about this?
(3) Why is Mike Lyons defending Haynie? Are the two Mikes and Sue a team now? Inquiring minds want to know.

Yes. Inquiring minds need to know the answers to these questions. I heard that a few board members were against the salary raise. Is that true?

ReplyDeleteThey offer a range for superintendent salary that isn't in the budget-- the extra money will have to come from somewhere. They have a committee chairwoman who doesn't keep all her committee members informed but who keeps her committee chairmanship. They overspend on legal fees but don't hold the person responsible accountable. All things considered, I'm so glad the frugal, fiscally conservative Republicans are in charge of the Board of Education.
