Did anyone notice that the Daddona budget this year (1) followed the requests of the parents and (2) didn't cause a major war among all those involved? The interim deserves a medal for that!
Tony Daddona did a fantastic job. I think it's the first time in the Board's history that something was passed unanimously! He carried out the budget process with transparency, listened to all the groups and found the money in spite of the city and the state. Outstanding job!
Sherelle Harris is smart, articulate and cares about the children of Norwalk. She knows how to build bridges with different organizations within Norwalk and that is an asset. She also has seen first hand the literacy issues as the Librarian of the South Norwalk Library. Norwalk's children would greatly benefit if Ms. Harris decides to become a candidate.
Nobody doubts that Sherelle Harris is a RedApple. Ask anyone in this school district how many times Sherelle sent emails to demand information that were cut and pasted from Sue Haynie's emails. She can be a great person, but she's just misguided about what Norwalk needs for its schools. You have to love the RedApples- they put 2 candidates in as Republicans and 1 as a Democrat. That might work to keep teacher-hating, know-it-all, Daddona-undermining, nasty obstructionists in control of the BOE.
Sherelle Harris might be a nice lady, but she is a Haynie puppet. If the Board is governed by RedApples, Norwalk taxpayers/voters will get a Haynie run school system. If people don't care, then they will get what they deserve! Wake up, voters in Norwalk! The person who commented above is right.
It is time for that third party. The Republicans don't have a clue and are now infiltrating the Democrats with this Apple candidate. Please let the third party be the sane party.
