Heard on the Streets.....

Several people inform me of the news on the streets, in the schools, etc.....
The latest news deserves to be transparent to all. Susan Marks is still trying to actively involve herself in Norwalk's school system. It has been reported that she would like to have more than a mild influence here. Does she not realize that she no longer should be involved? She no longer works here.  It appears that she doesn't know when to let go. How many angry and bitter cooks do we need stirring the pot? Is it fair to Manny Rivera?

  1. Perhaps it should be pointed out that Tony Dadonna kept in touch with Susan Marks throughout the school year. No doubt Dr. Rivera will confer with her as well. Educated Yesterday...you seem to have a real "thing" for Marks. Maybe it's time that you let go.

  2. When a superintendent leaves a district, there are always questions. Why is she continuing to e-mail principals and staff..If Rivera contacts Marks, who left chaos behind, he is making a big mistake.

  3. Marks offers nothing to any superintendent. She created grievances with secretaries, library aides, housemasters and asst. principals with her last budget.
How could the first poster know anything about whether Marks and Daddona became pen pals? Seems like a typical Apple fib.

    1. At the very least, it sounds like a huge exaggeration. I can imagine that superintendents need information from a former superintendent, but I very much doubt Daddona wanted any advice from Marks. He did not respect her opinion. Sorry, Apple, you are done spinning stories.

  4. I agree. Marks is a non-entity to everyone but a disgruntled few. Let it go.

  5. Even though everyone probably knows, Marks is still Haynie's best bud. Just saying.

  6. That's why Haynie and several other Board Members have to go! I doubt that Dr. Rivera would listen to anything that Dr. Marks has to say!

  7. A friend of mine is sort of friendly with some of the Apple crowd. She says that they are convinced that Haynie gets criticized because Daddona and the unions are out to get her because she's so tough. It's funny to me because these people think that we forgot about the budget Sue Haynie pushed for last year. My kid is in a crowded classroom at Brookside because of Sue Haynie and Susan Marks. I won't forget that when I vote.

    1. Thank you for your insight. It helps me understand the paranoia going on with the Apples. I will not be voting for any one of them either.

  8. Funny thing for me is that so very many parents forget last year's budget choices that hurt our kids. I hope people remember that Haynie and Keyes voted for all the teacher layoffs, voted to take library aides out of the schools and voted to eliminate the auto shop course at Norwalk High.
The few folks that I talk politics with are all wondering how the Republicans could nominate Haynie and Kassimis-- it's no secret she voted against him for vice-chairman of the BoE. Does anyone think she won't be campaigning against him? How can Shirley Mosby be on a ticket with Heidi Keyes. Keyes votes with Haynie and Barbis- not people Mosby agrees with ever.

    1. I didn't forget, and I vote.
I don't always agree with Steve C., but he fought hard for us parents and our kids last year. He's getting one of my votes. I want to find out about Andres Roman and want to support Artie K. again- I'm hoping that Artie stands apart from the republican crowd he's running with.
