Anyone have any thoughts on the recent upheaval in Andy Garfunkel's campaign?
ReplyDeleteApparently an internal email was released about former Darien First Selectwoman Evonne Klein and her position within the campaign.
Also, it appears that the Republican Town Committee is filing a complaint regarding some of the records. It sounds like Council Member Nora King sent out emails to all the City staff about a fund raiser for Andy. Isn't the British expression for that something like "Poor form"?
All this follows on the heels of the recent revelation about Mr. Garfunkel using "sick" days to campaign, stating that he wants a nation wide search for a replacement police chief and his support of Tanya McDowell, who I think may be in a dead heat race for Mother of the Year Award. And let's not forget that there was an apparently violent crossing of swords with Mayor Moccia at the West Norwalk Association meeting, which I heard was highly entertaining.
And golly gee, we still have a whole 'nother month to go before the election! Stay tuned for the next exciting chapter of....As the Stomach Churns!
It seems that the invitation for people to wax negative got no takers.

THINGS ARE A MESS because we don't have debates anymore.
ReplyDeleteI mean real debates. You know, where two or more people actually discuss stuff.
We have speakers at BoE meetings who chastise everyone and then we have speakers at BoE meetings who chastise everyone except the Superintendent.
That's what makes the mess---
That and hypocracy-- but that's another post.
