The remainder of the money went to pay down the debt incurred. Library aides were not fully restored. They will be shared between two buildings, with fewer hours.
Rumor has it that Susan Marks is still trying to restore the former Director of Elementary Education's return to central office. She wants her to take the Asst. superintendent's place. I, for one, can't believe this woman's persistence! Anyway, the results would be disastrous on many levels.
So I guess the City really couldn't live with all those teacher cuts . . . When will the slim majority who did the minute waltz to Marks' crazed budget "plan" admit they were wrong about the teacher cuts?
