The Asst. Principal at Wolfpit School (wasn't she at Cranbury first?) gave a presentation explaining how schools were going to use new strategies like comparing and contrasting fiction and non-fiction texts. Where has she been for the last 12 years? Literacy Specialists were teaching that in every school in Norwalk 10-12 years ago. This is nonsense! Nonfiction in the classroom? Also highly stressed through CLOZE exercises, which was in the CMTs. THIS IS NOT NEW!
Is it just me or is Mike Lyons still insisting that CKLA is really the best choice for Norwalk even though Manny Rivera chose Journeys as first choice? He appears to be fixated on his choice and not the superintendent's.
