A Blank Slate

As per usual, things slow down during the summer months. Here is a blank page for you to fill with questions, topics, compliments or complaints. The contents of this thread is yours.......

  1. The talk flying back and forth by the Board members is a disaster! If peace can't be made on a small (tiny) scale at the Board, what hope is there for Israel and the war there? Can't we all be adults and settle this?

  2. I thought the NPS has zero tolerance for bullying. Doesn't that apply to Board of Education members too?

  3. We could, if everyone on the board was concerned about students and moving the district forward. But sadly that isn't the case.

  4. A worthwhile article about Common Core math from one Japanese teacher's point of view.

  6. There is an administrator's opening for principal of Cranbury School? What happened to Principal Robin Ives?

  7. And what happened to the assistant principal, Ms. Jones, who used to be there?

  8. Human resource reorganization - Top three positions are going to be filled by retirees working on a second pension. The Board needs to check qualifications and do a history check.

  9. What does everyone think about the demonstration at the BoE last night? Should Lyons and Chiarmonte resign?

    1. No but they should choose their words a little better. ALL people need to come together and communicate! Some of those folks speaking last night are parents of NPS children and they needed to express their feelings. That said, hopefully, both sides will see the light!

  10. Everyone needs to read that. Who was responsible for hiring this man? Did they check his background?

  11. Why were the 3HR Specialists' resumes not made public? A board member requested that they be made public. What are they hiding? Where is the transparency? Everyone else's resumes have been made public. Are they not qualified? There should have been a committee to interview these people. Principals and Central Office staff always have committees.

    1. Apple's Mother Superior would make sure she would not get elected next time if she supported those in her real community.

  14. Harris was elected as a part of the Apple cohort. She is not allowed to stray from her team.

  15. Does anyone know what is with Peter Berman? Does he have a life? He appears to spend all his time criticizing unions, teachers, administrators, minority Board of Education members......is he just an angry human being?

  16. The Curriculum and Instruction leaders, paid for from a yearly grant are, in fact, the Vice Principals of the elementary schools. They were responsible, as Vice Principals, for the evaluation of teachers in their buildings, and are still going to be held responsible for the evaluation of teachers in their buildings. I am not sure what makes them the authorities for curriculum and instruction. Is the Rivera plan all smoke and mirrors? In my opinion Vice Principals = Curriculum and Instruction Leaders. The difference is they are grant paid now. Another question is why did the Administrator's Union throw these people to the wolves with no argument?
