Back to you

Now that the elections are over and the new Board of Education has been sworn in, the peace and quiet we have enjoyed will most likely come to an end.  Time to open up comments and questions for you.

  1. Mike Lyons has been a staunch advocate of Common Core.

Mike Lyons, perhaps as a non-educator, you need to stick to what you know best and not interfere in education!

  2. This is a state decision, not a Lyons or Norwalk BOE choice to make. I'm not sure what your point is here.

  3. What I am saying is that Mike Lyons staunchly backed a bad decision by the state. Teachers know better. Every time there is a new idea in education, people who are non-educators jump on the bandwagon with gusto. Those who understand the comings and goings of "new ideas" know better. Like the weather, wait awhile. Another new storm will overtake education. I wonder what brilliant one size fits all idea will be next.

  4. I am fed up with seeing Mike Lyons face in the online and print media. Is this man in love with himself? I don't see the superintendent's picture everywhere.

  6. Come on! I speak the truth. Haven't you been seeing all the pictures of him everywhere?

  9. I have been warning NancyonNorwalk for almost two years that the taxpayers would suffer greatly with new positions, new SPED costs, etc, etc, etc. Did anyone listen? No! What is the CFO saying now? Just what I warned about. Rivera hid the costs in grants, which was illegal. Now the piper must be paid. All the people (RedApples) who called me names can now call me the truth teller! Mike Lyons, you told me I was wrong wrong wrong! Taxpayers, open your bank accounts. The Board is coming after your money.
    Yes, this is MarjorieM.

  10. Crec report says bigger issues now with sped than before. Mike Lyons with egg on his face? Remember how he said Fensore was holding teachers to task and teacher complaints were a sign of changes being made? Remember how he said her resigning was a loss for the district? Ha... changes for the worse. I'm waiting for the revision history lessons from good ole Mikey.

  11. Mike Lyons never blames himself. He is NEVER wrong. He finds a way to line up the usual suspects and throw dirt in their faces. Too bad he was re-elected. He and Trump are alike.

  12. Marj has been right all along. Have you noticed how out of control Mike is on the "other " site? He is off the charts saying that Marj changed her mind about Adamowski. So what? Marj was reacting to news articles that were negative. Now that we have experience with the new superintendent, he seems to be perfect for Norwalk. I changed my mind too, Mike. Dr. Adamowski is a gentlemen who points out poor management without pointing fingers. Mike is a finger pointer. I prefer gentlemen.
