Bridgeport Superintendent

John Ramos, fired from Bridgeport! As you may remember, he was the Asst. Superintendent in Norwalk as well as the principal at Norwalk High. Comments?

  1. Karma-baby!
He brings in the State because he's upset about a rogue member or two on "his" board of education. The state appointees realize he's the problem and can him.
You think Susan Marks is learning from this?????

  3. Did any one read the article about Ramos in The Hour. Read like he had given The Hour a press release extolling his virues in Norwalk. Of course, all his Norwalk 'achievements' were the work of department heads-- but that's a story for another day (like if he tries to interview for the Norwalk job). The real issue is his severance package--- 6 years of salary for being a dismal failure! See, the Norwalk BoE's negotiation team isn't anywhere near as incompentent as Bridgeports!

  5. Shed no tears for Johnny Ramos....He's been able to make a lot of dough in his career, and has a steady stream of "dead presidents" coming in for a long time to come. He's got the game down to a science. Believe me, he's laughing all the way to the bank---and back! He'll surface again, unless he's finally got enough to live on.

  6. And sadly, he never finalized the school budget, so the schools are already running out of supplies like copy paper, pencils and other important items. If you're angry at Dr. Marks, just think what would be going on if the budget was never approved. I bet Dan Cook is regretting the day he took that job, and Ben Barnes, who went up to Hartford with Malloy is dancing in the aisles. Timing is everything.
