  1. Illegal fundraising? Sunday, the four RedApple candidates decided to get together for a fundraising event. Who were they? Rosatto, Haynie, Harris and Keyes. Who put this together? From my sources, Lisa Thomson. Funds were collected for the campaigns. Republicans and Democrats were not pleased that candidates were not supporting their own parties. Anyone want to deny the RedApples aren't in this for power? Anyone else hear anything? And is this illegal? Who was the real estate agent who hosted this fundraiser?

    1. The corporate sponsorship of the event is a big violation.

    2. Since it was illegal, why isn't The Hour and Nancy on Norwalk all over this?

    3. The four candidates who had the advantage of the corporate help don't have a chance of winning. Why would anyone look like a "bully" calling them out on their outrageous conduct? It's not helping them out.

    4. we will see. only time will tell. fyi i was invited to the event to meet the four candidates and was specifically told they were not fundraising. not one single donation was made at either event. NICE TRY!

  2. The principals endorsed Board of Education candidates Steve Colarossi, Artie Kassimis, Shirley Mosby and Andres Roman. Lisa Thompson is showing her fangs on Nancy on Norwalk! Good for you, building principals for supporting those who really care about our kids!

    1. IF THOSE FOUR WIN.... SELL YOUR HOUSE QUICK. TAXES WILL BE GOING UP FOR THE UNION BENEFITS AND NOT ONE PENNY WILL BE SPENT IN THE CLASSROOM. OUTSIDE DONORS WILL NOT SUPPORT A BROKEN CITY ....KABOOM ARMAGEDDON.

    2. OMG! We have a lunatic writing. Are you serious? LOL LOL

  3. But typical of Lisa Thompson to run when somebody asks her for facts. She is the worst kind of bully.
By now, everyone knows that she was behind the "anonymous" corporate group that is giving support to her Fab Four. Facts don't matter to her. The truth doesn't matter to her. The law doesn't matter to her.

  4. From the Mike Barbis twitter feed: "NASA union endorses 4 BOE candidates--what a mix. . . . .Did NASA members vote on this? How did they choose? Why?"
    I think he's in a panic. Don't you?
You think Barbis and his puppet master Thompson are getting nervous. After all, a legitimate group like the school principals are supporting the four candidates who will stand up to the bullies in that street gang called the RedApples?

  5. How did they choose? They looked at the facts, they discussed the issues and they made a decision. The same way every voter in Norwalk will come Election Day.

  6. Yes, that's exactly what we did.

  7. Fact...Mosby, Collarossi, Kassimis and Roman work for the UNION and not the tax payer. Two are married to teachers and one is the daughter of a NPS employee. VOTERS beware the Union wants MORE BENEFITS, HIGHER WAGE INCREASES, LEAST AMOUNT OF WORK RULES. This would be the worst possible scenario.

    1. Are you worried that Keyes has kids in three schools and will give those schools anything they want?
Do you refuse to vote for Doug Hempstead b/c his wife's a teacher and he'll raise taxes to give her promotions?
Do you not vote for Sue Haynie because she has an axe grind with Tony Daddona and doesn't stop at any opportunity to embarass him?
I was going to ask you to tell me a single vote Shirley Mosby took that was a union gift, b/c I sure don't know of any. She voted for lots of job eliminations
If you're going to go back to look at old votes, maybe you should count how many administrator jobs Colarossi has voted to eliminate. He's no slouch in that department.
When I read posts like yours, I wonder how such a tiny group can foster so much hate. I guess if you don't let facts get in the way, it's easy to find a bogeyman to blame everything on.

  8. FACT: The RedApples are desperately trying to scare the taxpayers. These candidates DO NOT work for the union. They will be the honest, transparent, hard workers who spend large amounts of time trying to cut costs that don't hurt the students. Don't fall for the RedApple spin. They will say anything to win this election. Disgraceful!

  9. FACT Green is the color of money and you are going to paying... higher taxes for benefits, pensions etc. Not one penny will be put into the classroom or for new programs. You are IGNORANT or just NAIVE if you think otherwise. I think the taxpayers will agree we will have to wait until next week.

    1. Fact: Haynie has cost us a lot. The Board of Ed had to give all the housemaster and middle school asst. principals back pay. Why? The labor board said that the Haynie-Marks plan to cut their hours last year was wrong. So they all had to get repaid.
      AppleSpin: "At least she's trying"
Kids Reality: You could have used that money to hire hire intervention aides in 5 schools and helped students.

  10. These vicious and vitriolic attacks on educators are not winning the RedApples any votes. There is no money and everyone knows it. No matter who is sitting on the other side of the negotiating table, there simply is no more money. Look, salaries and benefits are a given if you want teachers and principals in the schools. There is no way around that. Qualified professionals get that everywhere. Pensions will still be paid because there are teachers who do not receive social security benefits. I happen to be one of them. We paid into our pensions and not into social security. That is a fact.

For those who broadcast these scathing, caustic remarks about being ignorant and naive if you vote other than the Apple Ticket, you are using scare tactics that are not grounded in reality. There is no more money. AND Haynie is the one who negotiated the 4.3% raise in teachers' salaries for the upcoming year. So the taxpayers need to thank Haynie for that one!

  11. The Apples are out in force! All 5 of them! They are desperate and they are lying to convince everyone to vote for their four candidates. Smart people see through their nonsense. Make sure you vote! Every single vote counts. We need intelligence and caring folks on the Board of Education. Tired of all the nastiness? Vote Colorassi, Kassimis, Roman and Mosby: Intelligence, transparency, honesty and a clean campaign. They will support our students. Get rid of the nastiness. (I am not running in the election, nor am I working for any of these people. ) THE SMART VOTE FOR OUR CHILDREN, THE ROLE MODELS...

    1. LOL you are so funny. One Criminal and three followers that will do nothing but raise your taxes. Throwing money at a broken system will not work. SORRY. FYI not an apple. We are going to have a budget problem next year and I am sure Manny will be blamed just like Daddona is credited with passing a budget last year. All due to a pay freeze.

HIGHER TAXES BROKEN BOE = KASSIMIS, COLORASSI, ROMAN AND MOSBY
FUNCTIONING BOE = HAYNIE, ROSATO, KEYES AND HARRIS
