Silence

The silence is deafening, as they say.  Adamowski is busy doing what?  Comments on this or anything else are welcome here.....

  1. Maybe I'm missing something. The expectations for the superintendent should be the same as for the staff. Why has there been no new message from him on the NPS website for more than a year? It is a poor reflection on the Board of Education and the schools when nothing has been posted, and it just says check back shortly. Will we be checking for another year waiting for something to be posted?

  2. I guess he's been busy cleaning up the mess he inherited ....

  3. You mean Rivera's mess?

  4. No, Rivera wasn't here long enough to make a mess ... I meant the mess left by Corda, Daddona and the former Board ....

    1. How can that be? No one is left from that era! There is no mess left to clean up, if Rivera was doing his job. Doesn't make sense!

  5. Marjorie must be back! I am no Adamowski supporter, but Rivera wasn't around long enough to do any more than perhaps see the tip of the iceberg. He sure hit the road quickly. There's decades worth of mess to clean up and her boy was the biggest roadblock to any valid change or reform. Just look at the mess that is our special education department, the police fraud investigation into a student activities account, the lack of evaluation of administrators for who knows how long, and state of facilities planning. This will take a long time to turn around.

  6. I am not Marjorie. I am curious about several items you mentioned. What happened with the investigation at Jefferson? Was the principal charged? The evaluations for administrators was done, according to the administrators. What happened with the Pontus principal letter? I don't see that being reported on. What happened to the law suit against Mike Lyons from the previous Special Ed administrator? All of these current messes seem to be left hanging. Why?

  7. No one seems to know what happened to the Jefferson investigation. A large number of current and former staff including teachers, administrators and non certified were called into the Police Department and interviewed at length. If money was misused, it shouldn't be swept under the rug.

  8. It appears that all the negatives are swept under that rug! Pretty soon we will have a flying carpet...

  9. I love that analogy! The carpet must be a really huge one by now. Several principals (including one whose resignation never went before the board, and received severance anyway), departed downtown administrators, and an entire lawsuit are stuffed under there.

  10. the carpet must be fertilized well, it keeps growing so more can be swept. there have been so many other things swept...and yet the deals still get done, and nothing being done about it.

  12. Hopeful. It seems like some things are being buried because no one wants negative publicity for the BOE.

  13. What everyone wants is transparency. It was promised, and it is what the taxpayers deserve. Don't you agree? Hiding the negative is misleading and does not lead to trust. We are adults. Let us make up our own minds if the negative is so bad that we need a change of plan.

  14. have you been watching central office?
    who gets hired?
    who gets promoted?
    who gets consulting jobs?

  15. How about the report by the Norwalk Hour? Bonus promises if certain goals are met. One needs to check a whole lot deeper before writing bonus checks!
