Congratulations are in order for Jack, Rosa and Michael Lyons. How do you feel this will affect the future of our students? The superintendent? What about the turnout of voters? Does anyone care anymore?

  1. I like the candidates - will things change, I'm not sure but I'm looking forward to see what they can do.

  2. Rosa has shown that she can roll up her sleeves and work with everyone. Jack will be a regular member again which should help him be sign as a fighter and not as abully. Mike Lyons brings a lot to the table- but will have to overcome being seen on the budget as just the voice for the ultra conservatives.
As a parent, I would love to see Mike on the Curriculum Committee helping the schools get on board with the Core Curriculum.

  3. Any one else hear that Jack Chiaramonte is thinking about taking on Bob Duff? If that's the case, stock up on the popcorn because it'll be quite a show!
Jack got more votes than Kimmel so you know the guy can win the cross over votes.
    Go, Sen. Jack!!!

  4. Sad that no one really cares who won-- I guess we don't really think anything will change.

  5. To 6:05 a.m. - I heard at the BOE/PTOC meeting that apparently the General Electric Foundation visited several Norwalk Schools and according to them, NPS is ready to move into the core curriculum.

  6. Let's just hope-- and pray-- that we get a new leadership team on the Board of Ed.
There's got to be someone who knows how to conduct himself (or herself) in public and who knows how to run a meeting, right?????
