Susan Marks did not cancel school on Tuesday as did most of Norwalk's neighbors. Many of the teachers commute to Norwalk from towns without electricity. What's the 'right' action to take...school or no school? What do you think?
The right thing is to do what is best for Norwalk's students. It is inconvenient for teachers without power to have to get to work-- but, it is not a safety issue for them. It is important for our students to be in school as much as possible before the state tests in March and April. Supt. Marks made the right call.

I agree with 6:20am. She made the right decision.
ReplyDeleteJust wondering what teachers were thinking...I believe most, if not almost all, made it to work.
