  1. I think it is important to check out the comments section with Chiarmonte.

  2. Let's move on and think positively about a new superintendent search. I would like to see someone who not only has the right credentials, but also is (1) not a retiree from another district, (2) able to listen and deal with all kinds of personalities and (3) has a resume that does not show that s/he jumps around from position to position every few years. What would you add to this list?

  3. aren't those someof the credentials that Dr. Rivera had? not a retiree, didn't jump around...
and look what happened? highest paid in the state? received a bonus in Norwalk and the left?
    why?

  4. You are so right. Then it's a fact that the Board of Ed didn't listen to the parents, teachers or administrators who wasted their time meeting with the Board of Ed. Aren't Board members elected to represent the taxpayers? Shouldn't they listen? Or do they think only they know best? Confusing to the average human!

  5. We all know the Apples want Bob MCCain back. We hope that doesn't happen. The State Dept. Had to put an end to his discriminatory practices at Nathan Hale, as the story goes.

  6. 5.28 You are so right. Now, McCain is working with African American kids in Hartford in a magnet high school getting great results. Good thing he was run out of town!

  7. And the rest of the story that you conveniently left out.....
Robert McCain is the principal of Two Rivers.
"Two Rivers is one of 19 magnet schools operated by the Capitol Regional Education Council (CREC) in Greater Hartford. CREC Schools provide students across the region with the chance to identify their area of academics as it relates to various magnet themes and pursue their level of academic excellence through high school."
"Residents of Connecticut are eligible to apply for a magnet school through the Regional School Choice Office (RSCO) during the annual lottery application process. Families are encouraged to submit their online application during the ontime process"

Key Words: ONLINE APPLICATION, CHARTER SCHOOL, LOTTERY FROM CONNECTICUT

  8. Two Rivers is certainly not comparable to any school in Norwalk. Let's not make the mistake that it is. He does not sound like a good candidate for Norwalk.

  9. He wasn't good then, and he's no better now. He doesn't have the confidence or respect of his peers, segregated children of color, and hasn't been a superintendent. Keep moving.

  10. Who are you kidding? McCain was brilliant. When he was here he was actually closing the achievement gap! What did Daddona ever do for NPS except fleece us for hundreds of thousands of dollars

  11. Must be an Apple. She's showing her "New Norwalk Tar and Feather Way." You can't post without putting Dadona down. What a disgrace you are to Norwalk.
Test scores went up in many schools in Norwalk. Was McCain brilliant for that too?
Sorry, don't let him come back to Norwalk. BIG MISTAKE.

  12. It will soon dribble out the throne is about to be dismantled for those that need to move on.
people will dance in the street.

  13. Why is there so much press about Mr. McCain? Doubtful he would be the next superintendent. Does not have anywhere the type of experience. Also lapse of judgement? Did he not endorse the former IT Pilot to work with him in Hartford?
Most importantly, the weeding is taking place in the garden of dead wood. Don't stop with one dead limb...

  14. Yes "The New Norwalk Tar and Feather Way" is about to begin the parade of the "dead wood.". The hooded persecutors with heartlessness and spitefulness will dance in the streets while those who gave their life's work for Norwalk are subjected to humiliation and loss of dignity. Be careful what you ask for, RedApples. Your turn will come. You are the face of "the New Norwalk Way." Bloodthirsty, vindictive and sadistic. Nothing to be proud about in my estimation.

  15. How do those who express such contempt and disrespect for educators sleep at night? The reference to dancing in the streets and calling people derogatory names, that is abusive behavior. If these are really parents who do all of this in the name of bettering education, we are in deep trouble. Get help!

  16. Please ....cry me the river .... this "dead wood" has milked the system for decades ... great compensation, great benefits and phenomenal pensions ... and ZERO accountability for all of these highly paid compensated employees. Bye bye

    1. Do you directly evaluate these people? If not, you have no right to judge. You have no way of knowing what they actually do. "Cry me a River?" - You are one hard hearted, insensitive b**ch! Cruel doesn't even begin to describe you.

    2. Oh my Lord, what is happening to the educational system in our city. Arguments, cursing, bad mouthing, what's next? Some of you should be ashamed of yourselves. Yes, it's time for some to "get out"...hopefully they will. The school system is not a place for bullying as we know some have done to certain employees. If you can financially retire, (and most can), please do so now and save our city. I have seen more for sale signs up lately and I'm assuming it's because of our school system. Something needs to be done (and SOON)

    3. YOU CAN THANK THE REDAPPLES! They started dragging educators' reputations through the mud publicly. Accountability by any Superintendent should have eliminated bad educators a long time ago, if the Superintendent in charge took charge. It was wrong for a group of parents to take that responsibility on themselves. They really do carry the poisonous RED APPLE. Those parents made a public display of damaging and destroying peoples' careers. Wrong by any measure of accountability. This was a mission taken on and led by parents at Nathan Hale. Their primary mission and obsession was revenge. They supported McCain and were out to lynch the administrator who was the whistleblower for the segregated classrooms. It didn't even matter that those classes were illegal. Don't be proud if you are a RedApple. Be ashamed, very ashamed. This was cruel and vicious.

  17. @5:30PM-The For Sale signs you see are there for a reason. Have you noticed the crime in the city lately? That's the reason.

  18. Seriously? You think the Red Apples are behind all of this? They don't have that kind of power but they did expose the group of people in NPS who were unaccountable. People like Tony Daddona, Bruce Morris, Tony Ditrio, Lynne Moore, Myrna Tortorello ... who have been running their own private fiefdoms. Time is up. This isn't cruel and vicious ... this is PAYBACK. Bye bye

    ReplyDelete
  19. Once again, a public display of those targeted. This is the "New NORWALK WAY" - It's now called "Payback" according to the above post. But this person is wrong, this is a public lynching of the older administrators. The administrators were "exposed" by the Red Apples and lynched in public, just like the 3 Board members. So will the parade of those tarred and feathered take place on Main St or East Ave? Or do we do that online now? WOW, These parents are scary!

  20. For years this blog has been a forum for uninformed, anonymous screeching about anyone trying to effect change in Norwalk schools. All of a sudden someone mentions the names of a few administrators and the sanctimonious response is that this "New NORWALK WAY" is cruel and vicious and involves "public lynching". I guess that reveals who is behind this blog. Takes quite a bit of chutzpah to call it "new" when you've been doing it here for years.
