Interim Superintendent Appointed

Tony Daddona to take the reins as interim superintendent -Norwalk Hour ---------------------------------- Congratulations, Tony Daddona! Unfortunately, it was reported to me that Sue Haynie lost it at the Board meeting. I heard she was out of control. If so, she needs to step down. She needs to be able to support the appointed interim superintendent for the sake of the students and staff or get off the Board.

  1. Get off the Board? Please. Did you ask the people who didn't support Superintendent Marks to "get off the Board"?

I am no fan of hers, but on a body such as the BOE, you are going to have differences of opinion and differences of style. Some of those styles may be offensive and abrasive. But remember, we change our representatives through ELECTIONS, not through browbeating by anonymous blog pundits who can't wait to call on someone to resign...

  2. You are right, of course. But in my opinion, this Woman has lost it.

  3. She was gaveled out of order by Chiaramonte during the public part of the meeting. I heard that Haynie had everyone scratching their heads as she tried to explain what her "Personnel" Comnmittee was reporting and what was her own work. I heard Rosa felt so sorry for her that she actually stepped in to explain things.
I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall during the Executive Session.

  4. I am no fan of hers either. (well, im sure nobody is) But all of the people who never supported marks, never "got off board" instead they stayed on board trying to sink it lower and lower .(I am sure you are one of them as well)so watch the comments, and tone down the cockiness, its irrelevant to this post.

  5. I think the Red Apples would do themselves a favor if they disassociated themselves with this woman.

  6. Daddona has done a good job in dealing with the state's monitoring of Norwalk's schools. Unlike the retirees who have come into Norwalk, at least he will have a vested interest in not trying to feather the nests of his friends. Daddona will have to live with the consequences of any bad decisions he makes.

  7. We need to throw our support behind Daddona and let him do the job! No more negatives for now. Wait to see what he does.

  8. Now we will see accountability!

  9. Can we move to the important topic-- it's less than a month before school starts and do you know where your children's teachers are?
Can you dig into how much money the Board of Ed will have to hire back teachers so our kids won't be sitting 28 to a classroom?

    1. I hope that Daddona has a better idea of what is really needed for our students. Maybe he will push for teachers in the classrooms.
